Advice (for youth with LGBTQ parents and LGBTQ parents)
Tina is an educator and pseudo big sister, not a licensed therapist. However, she has good common sense, an above average ”keep it real” barometer, a lot of experience working with youth, and even more compassion. If you have a question that you think that I can help you with (that hasn’t been covered in the book, Let’s Get This Straight) or just want to chat, click on the tab and ask or chat away. I look forward to hearing from you.
The Brood Blog
Tina is extremely opinionated in person, but has always been cautious about blogging personal thoughts. It felt too exposed and almost cocky. Well, she’s jumped out of her shell and wants to share and be more open in the blogsphere, even if it’s just with herself. See what she’s brooding about these days.
Hi Tina:
I am looking for some good resources that give a fair, clear LGBTA perspectives on the Catholic-Charities/Civil Unions issue. I plan to use these materials to foster discussions in my college-level writing classroom. Can you give me any suggestions for finding other LGBTA voices on this particular current event/issue? As per fair use, I plan to have students read your own excellent blog on the subject. IS that ok?
Yours in the search for truth,
Steve
I sent you some ideas via email. Thanks for reading and I’ve love for you to share my blog with your class. Have a great semester, Tina
